How do you like to spend your vacation?
Some like to retreat and just relax at Villa Tango del Mar. They hire the chef service for breakfast and dinner, snorkel and swim from the dock, get picked up on site for SCUBA, get a massage on the terrace, and watch the sunsets. Others want to get out and explore. There’s a lot to do in Cozumel, so let’s get started!
SCUBA
Diving is what Cozumel is all about. There are many dive shops that will pick you up at the dock out front. Here are some we recommend:
Alberto at Cozumel Octopus www.diveandsnorkelcozumel.com
Tony or Adam at ScubaTony www.scubatony.com
They both have excellent dive masters, comfortable fast boats, and great captains. To learn more about the reefs surrounding Cozumel, check out this website by diver, Joel Cotton. http://www.reefsofcozumel.com Great photography!
Snorkeling: You can snorkel in front of Villa Tango del Mar or at nearby beaches. To schedule a boat snorkel trip, we recommend Alberto at www.diveandsnorkelcozumel.com. Ask our concierge to arrange a boat trip that is tailored just for you.
Stand Up Paddle
Paddleboards are available at nearby beaches or can be delivered to the house.
Bicycling: Bikes can be rented in town or delivered to the house.
Surfing and Kiting are available. Nacho Guiterez is terrific for private or group surf lesions. www.cozumelsurfing.com.
Fishing: Our concierge can arrange a fishing excursion for one or groups. Depending on the season, you can expect to catch Sailfish, Blue and White Marlin, Wahoo, Grouper, Snapper, Dorado and Barracuda, just to name a few.
Sailing: There are lots of ways to enjoy sailing on the island. Let us know if you’re looking for a sunset sail, a day-sail, or a trip to Passion Island. Arrangements can be made for your private party.
Concierge Services
Ask our concierge about car rental, boat rental, horseback riding, jet ski, golf, or adventure tours. Our goal is to help make it a perfect vacation for you!
Local Culture
San Gervasio: These Mayan ruins are located centrally on the island. The ruins are actively being restored and give an interesting history and perspective on Mayan life on the island.
Museo de Cozumel: The Museum offers art, history, and local cultural programs.
Music: There is a lot of live music in Cozumel, so ask around and find out who is playing where. You can also subscribe to the Cozumel4You newsletter or join their blog to get up to date information. http://www.czm4you.com/
